  The Main House

“We had a truly wonderful holiday with the family in a most perfect family setting. At the same time I couldn’t help dreaming of being here along with only the sounds of the natural world... The house is absolutely beautiful, and being where it is makes it a truly special and spiritual place. Thank you for providing us the opportunity to experience this incredible place.”

“What a perfect location and a perfect family house. We had an amazing time with our family and friends.”

“We had a ball…wonderful is an apt word…enjoying the deck, the pool, the beach and exploring Molokai. Our best family vacation ever!”

The main house is about 120’ wide from north to south, and follows the slope of the natural terrain overlooking the beach.  It includes large covered lanai overlooking the ocean from all  beachfront rooms (great room, master suite, two guests suites), with high ceilings and beach-side walls of sliding glass.  Its centerpiece is the “great room” which includes living and dining areas, a large kitchen, and a 60’ covered lanai overlooking the pool, lawn and beach.  The house is entered from a separate parking area through a grove of palms, halla trees and other native plants.  Beyond the entrance area, it opens to a view of the great room and the beach beyond.  It really is magical.

The north wing of the main house includes an ample pantry for guests’ groceries, a powder room, full laundry facilities, a linen room, and access to the lawn and paths to the beach as well as to the kitchen garden.  It also includes the master suite, with very high ceilings, glass on two walls (overlooking the beach and palm grove), and access to its private lanai, with king bed and seating areas, a full double-sink bath and a private, landscaped outdoor shower.  This wing opens to the lawn and pool through plumerias and haliconia, and has an additional outdoor shower accessible to the north path to the beach.

The south wing of the main house , the guest wing, includes a play hall, with table and chairs, books and games and a broad entrance to the lawn and pool.  Beyond the play hall, on the beach side are two guest suites with queen beds, each with ample storage space for guests, full bath with private outdoor shower, and a private lanai overlooking the beach, with private stairway to the lawn and pool.  These two suites are essentially small houses, with no common walls and a great deal of privacy.  Across the wide hall from each of these queen rooms is another guest bedroom, each with two twin beds.  These twin rooms share a full bath, with the only indoor shower in the house.

With a king bed in the master suite and two queen beds and four twin beds in the guest wing, the main house provides seven separate beds, and can sleep up to ten people.

Room for additional guests is available in “Paddlers’ House,” a separate residence across a meadow (approximately 100’ wide, overlooking the beach) which is reached through open paths and trails.  This house is rented only to guests of the main house and is not available separately..
